Protecting Resources Across a Distributed Environment
(Lindsey Management Company)
Lindsey Management Co., Inc. (LMC), based in Fayetteville, Arkansas, is the largest property management firm of multi-family housing in the state of Arkansas and is making a strong presence in the states of Alabama, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Tennessee. LMC currently manages over 34,000 apartment homes in over 100 apartment communities, as well as 40 golf courses located throughout the eight states, with leasing offices open seven days a week and management available 24 hours a day at every location.
In order to properly service the vast number of apartment residents and guests, LMC employs over 100 employees at its home office and over 500 employees at all other offices. Its mission statement, “Developing a way to offer spacious living full of features...a country club lifestyle...and responsive management at moderate rates...is the key to our company’s success,” says it all. LMC is very customer-oriented and its service quality must therefore be exceptional.
As a company that prides itself on providing superior customer service, LMC needs to ensure that not only are its residents and guests satisfied with its technical support and offerings, but its employees are comfortable in their work environment and are quickly supported in their technical needs as well. And, like many businesses in the current economy, LMC strives to maintain an affordable solution while providing best-of-class technical service.
Unfortunately, LMC’s internet security solution at the time was doing neither. Dustin Douglas, LMC’s VP of Information Technology, states, “Our solution was not centralized, which turned out to be a tremendous problem. With no centralized way to manage content filtering, if some computer problem occurred in Missouri, I would have to work on every single computer to fix that one problem. As you can imagine, this could take hours and hours.” With only Mr. Douglas as the technology support technician for the still growing company, a tiny glitch from the previous content manager could turn into a major time and resource-absorbing catastrophe.
Finally, LMC’s previous content filtering solution was not providing the skill or the quick response that Mr. Douglas needed. “Because we were faced with limited resources, we needed maximum performance from our products and from our vendors. I needed answers to my questions quickly, so that I could do my job and help maximize our employee’s productivity and resolve our customers’ internet issues.”
With quality service to its employees and residents at stake, Mr. Douglas extensively researched internet content filtering systems. His primary need was a solution that allowed administrators the ability to manage it from a single location, but that offered quality protection on every computer, even those far from the main office. “After I tested a few brands, I came across ContentWatch’s ContentProtect Professional. It was the only solution that offered centralized management over a widely dispersed environment, so it was really a no brainer. But it also offered so many more valuable options that it turned into the ideal solution. ”

ContentProtect Pro also offers fast and scalable reporting, available in the cloud from any browser. ContentProtect helps to maximize any organization’s performance.
Like LMC, most businesses require a centrally-managed solution that also works in a widely dispersed environment. “Because I am the one-man technical operation, I have to work smarter, not harder. ContentWatch’s solution makes sure both in-house and mobile computers are covered. This has saved me a tremendous amount of time and energy,” says Mr. Douglas.
ContentProtect Pro is optimized to provide best-of-breed performance and functionality with fast results—both with the software and with real-time helpdesk issues. “ContentWatch provides exceptional service,” says Mr. Douglas. “I’ve contacted support a couple of times for software and technical upgrades, both on the phone and through email. ContentWatch technical support has never given me any roadblocks and the support team has always been very friendly, from remembering my name to giving a response within ten minutes. When response time is measured in minutes, you can’t get better than that.”
Since implementing ContentWatch’s ContentProtect Professional, Mr. Douglas’ ability to work on his core job duties has skyrocketed resulting in the other LMC employees having their computer issues resolved in much faster time. “It’s been over six years since I’ve been using ContentProtect Professional and I cannot imagine using another product,” says Mr. Douglas. “I am completely satisfied with its vast features and with the level of service I’ve experienced from the ContentWatch team. It’s made my work life so much easier.”
