New timing and reporting controls permit better management of employee Internet access; ContentProtect Profressional reduces risk and increases productivity
SALT LAKE CITY – September 22, 2004 – ContentWatch Inc., a trusted provider of Internet filter and protection tools designed for families and small businesses alike, today announced an upgrade for its popular ContentWatch Professional Suite for small businesses and organizations.
ContentProtect Professional 1.8 includes an advanced timing control feature that allows employers to restrict Internet access to specified times, day or night. In addition, the software system gives employers the ability to manage and control Web access, spam, instant messaging, peer-to-peer networking and pop-ups. ContentProtect Professional is highly customizable and permits administrators to set unique policies for the entire organization, groups and individuals. It also includes powerful Web-based, real-time reporting tools.
ContentProtect Professional Suite offers an affordable solution for businesses to help manage risk, increase productivity and protect against legal liabilities,” said Brent Bishop, chief executive officer of ContentWatch. “The design of this software makes it easy for any administrator to implement, and it immediately provides valuable protection to employees and businesses.”
ContentProtect Professional Suite is a client-based system with many adaptable options. Administrators can assign each user or group a unique account that has adjustable filter settings and privileges so access can be tailored to different needs. The Web-based administrator and user interface also allows for simple management and remote access. ContentProtect Professional Suite also includes a logging and reporting option for each user account, which allows administrators to view activity on a group or an individual basis. Administrators can then drill down to get detailed information and reporting about Internet use or abuse.
ContentProtect Professional Suite requires Windows® 98SE/Me/2000/XP, 64 MB of RAM, 50 MB of hard-disk space, a 133 MHz-plus processor, a color monitor with 800x600 resolution-16-bit color, Microsoft Internet Explorer® 5.5 or higher and an Internet connection.
