__SALT LAKE CITY - April 20, 2010__ - ContentWatch, (http://contentwatch.com) the leading provider of parental control solutions and Internet filtering, today announced the appointment of Russ Warner as CEO. Warner replaces Jack Sunderlage, who joined ContentWatch in 2005. Sunderlage will remain with ContentWatch through the management transition as he prepares for a new service opportunity in the community.

Most recently Warner led efforts that were instrumental in the expansion of several technology companies as the Managing Director of SageCreek Partners, including a business expansion that recently increased revenue in a region of one of SageCreek’s Fortune 500 clients by more than 146 percent. Warner was chosen from a field of outstanding CEO candidates, and was also one of several recommended by SageCreek Managing Partner Greg Butterfield, a technology industry icon who along with business leader Glen Mella, president and COO of Control4, recently joined the ContentWatch board.

“Russ is a proven leader who has driven the growth of multiple technology companies,” said Brent Bishop, ContentWatch Board Chairman. “We are excited to welcome him to our executive team as we enter our next level of presence and growth in the global market.”

Warner has helped to establish and grow technology companies ranging from startups to the Fortune 1000. Most recently, as Managing Director of SageCreek Partners, he accelerated the path to funding and market expansion for several emerging companies. Prior to SageCreek, Warner was VP of Global Sales for Alianza, where he attained growth rates over two years far surpassing previous levels. As director of Latin America & Caribbean Sales for Altiris/Symantec, Warner grew revenue an average of 142%, with one year at 350%, and developed 75 active channel partners in 18 countries in 3 years. At Novell he increased retail software sales by 40 percent and overall product sales by 125 percent in a single year.

“ContentWatch, particularly with Net Nanny, has established a strong reputation for technology leadership,” said Warner. “They are in an ideal position to move into the next realm, and I look forward to helping them reach their full potential as quickly as possible as they work to accomplish that goal.”

__SALT LAKE CITY - March 1, 2010__ - Net Nanny (www.netnanny.com) is once again PC Magazine’s Editors’ Choice for Internet parental controls. Net Nanny 6.5 is the latest version of the Internet filtering software, and this recognition marks the third consecutive time as Editors’ Choice. “Net Nanny 6.5 handles all of the expected tasks and goes beyond its competition in many ways, like its real-time content analysis for Web pages and its resistance to hacking.”

“This review of Net Nanny 6.5 confirms our position in the marketplace and reassures us that we are providing tools that are relevant and valuable,” said Jack Sunderlage, ContentWatch President and CEO. “We are proud of this recognition and continually strive to exceed our customers’ expectations and provide a safe online experience for their families.”

One of the featured Net Nanny 6.5 highlights is its “ability to filter
HTTPS traffic, so even if parents turn off the Proxy category or kids
find an unblocked secure anonymizing proxy, their Web surfing is still
filtered. None of Net Nanny's competitors duplicate this feat.”

Net Nanny 6.5 also offers features for real-time content analysis, such
      as:

Instant Messaging (IM) conversation and social networking site
        monitoring

        ESRB-based game control and

        Detailed interactive activity reports.

__SALT LAKE CITY - February 2, 2010__ - ContentWatch, the developer of Net Nanny (www.netnanny.com) parental control and content filtering software, today unveiled Net Nanny 6.5, addressing the critical need to monitor social networking and instant messaging (IM) activity.

“Internet and technology dangers are growing rapidly and can be far more serious than parents realize due to the growing prevalence of trends such as social networking and IM,” said Jack Sunderlage, ContentWatch CEO. “It is our mission to continually address these issues with tools to help parents protect their children’s safety online.”

A recent study from the U.S. Department of Justice reports that more than 50 percent of teenagers receive requests for personal information and have frequent personal conversations with strangers online through IM. Likewise, 50 percent of teenagers say their parents are unaware of their online activities and have never discussed Internet safety with them.

Net Nanny 6.5 offers the following new features and enhancements:

- __Social Networking:__ Parents can monitor their children’s social networking activities, such as friends, pictures, videos, personal descriptions, wall posts and IM conversations, on commonly used sites like Facebook, Twitter, Flickr, YouTube and Bebo.
- __Profanity Masking (@#$!):__ Unruly users often post inappropriate or profane comments on sites like YouTube, which alters how web filters categorize content. Net Nanny 6.5 now masks (@#$!) inappropriate content, allowing users to view the page without being bombarded with vulgar language.
- __ProxyProtect:__ Net Nanny’s ProxyProtect sees through and filters the content of all web–based proxies (http and https), and aggressively blocks attempts to get around filtering by blocking local host proxy applications.
- __Search Terms:__ Net Nanny 6.5 now gives a fully detailed report of online searching behavior. Users can view web, video and image searches on all the popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, Bing and Ask.

Net Nanny 6.5 also allows parents to receive customizable alert and report __email notifications__ in real time or in batches (hourly, daily or weekly), __block uploading__ of pictures, use __keyword blocking__ that lets them decide if kids should see pages with specific words or phrases, __block posting/commenting__ on blogs and forums and lets parents __easily extend kids' online time__.

Net Nanny 6.5 costs US$39.99, or $59.98 for three computers. In addition, today many independent software vendors pledged to deliver a wide range of innovative applications and services designed to further enable safer online experiences for families and home users in time for the consumer launch.

Throughout the development of Windows Vista, Microsoft has worked closely with security partners to provide technical support resources, access to application testing and compatibility labs, and developer training and certification programs. These efforts help industry partners provide consumers with numerous security and safety software and services to choose from to help make their computing experiences safer from the moment they begin using Windows Vista.

"A more secure computing experience, including protection from online threats, viruses and hackers, is more important than ever before, for businesses and consumers alike," said Ben Fathi, corporate vice president of the Security Technology Unit at Microsoft. "Windows Vista is the most secure operating system we've ever built, and our security partners continue to play a vital role in adding layers of protection onto the Microsoft(R) Windows(R) platform. With all of us working together, we can help people feel safer and more confident when using their PCs."

Windows Vista is built to provide in-depth defense against existing and emerging digital threats. Microsoft started by designing Windows Vista using the Security Development Lifecycle, an education, design and testing process that helps minimize security bugs in the operating system's underlying code. New built-in security features such as Windows Defender, User Account Control, an improved Windows Firewall, Parental Controls, and Windows Internet Explorer(R) 7 Protected Mode and Phishing Filter provide additional layers of protection. Microsoft's industry partners add the final layer by building security solutions on top of the Windows platform. Partner security offerings that are scheduled to be available on Jan. 30 include a range of anti-virus, anti-malware and family safety solutions.

Companies committing to the availability of consumer and small-business security solutions for Windows Vista by Jan. 30 include these:

CA Inc.'s CA Anti-Virus 2007 provides protection against viruses, worms and Trojan horse programs that can invade through e-mail attachments, downloads, instant messages and the Web. CA Anti-Virus 2007 was one of the first security solutions available to Windows Vista beta users, providing anti-virus protection to more than 160,000 beta participants.

ContentWatch Inc.'s top-rated Internet filtering software features a patent-pending, dynamic contextual analyzer that filters Internet content in real time. We use the web daily to keep up on news, connect with friends, family and co-workers. Search engine research has all but replaced the library for gathering information for students and adults alike. Everything you need is just a simple mouse click away! All good things come with a price. The Internet is wide open to any and all who wish to be there and some of those people are up to no good.

As the parent of a teenage son, every time I see him log on the Internet, I worry. It's not so much that he will deliberately look for things that he shouldn't be that troubles me; it's that predators and con artist seeking to snare the young and the weak are at the ready. As a web designer, I know the tactics predators, and even some so-called legitimate website designers, use to trick us into going to their sites; whether we intended to or not. The list of ways to fool us is as vast as the Internet itself.

How can we protect our children and ourselves from this? Can it be done without denying legitimate sites? Readers of this column, friends and family, have asked over and over, "How can I keep my kids from seemingly harmless sites that have proven later to be trouble?" One parent told me she suspects her son will do word searches for, "those dirty sites." "How can I stop that from happening?" she worried. She also said, "He tells me he's not doing this type of search, I need to know if he is telling the truth or not!"

Others have stated concerns about chat rooms and instant messaging. Our children have computers in their bedrooms; we need to know they're not getting into trouble when we're busy doing other things. How can we watch from the other side of the door?

These tough questions and my own concerns as a parent convinced me to search for a solution. My search led me to several Internet filters. One stood out by far, ContentProtect.

I contacted ContentProtect directly and spent some time speaking directly to the staff and found them to be very informed on Internet filtering, the issues we all face concerning our children's online safety. The staff at ContentProtect was extremely friendly, and willing to answer any question.

ContentProtect explained that they were asked by a Porn company to develop products to reach potential customers. Instead they decided to develop a product that would help stop the porn company from reaching vulnerable people; that decision led to ContentProtect as we see it today.

I've been using the software now for over three weeks with no problems whatsoever. I've tried several times to trick the software by searching for website names that were not obviously "Adult" oriented and ContentProtect caught every one. Among the key benefits are the reports I receive with inappropriate IM conversations, lists of inappropriate sites visited and date and time they were visited, and the ability to set times of day for my son to go online.

I can even do all of this from work. I can choose remotely to allow him to visit a safe site if needed for a project or turn off Internet privileges from my office, should he attempt to violate our Internet standards while I am away.

ContentProtect has developed a great product that answered many, if not all, of my needs as a parent concerned about my child on the Internet.

Parents can have the peace of mind ContentProtect has provided me for the annual license fee of $39.95 for up to three home computers. (Correction: one license per computer in the home; after the purchase of the initial license additional licenses can be purchased at a 50% discount)
