CFO and Corporate Secretary

Gene joined ContentWatch in May 2011 and brings more than 20 years of experience in public accounting and executive financial positions. Prior to ContentWatch, he was CFO and Controller at DownEast Outfitters, a successful regional apparel and home furnishings retailer. At DownEast, Gene was responsible for all financial management, human resources and information technology within the company during a five-year period.

Prior to DownEast, he worked in various financial management-related positions within the technology business sector. Some of those organizations include, Echopass, AppLabs, KeyLabs, Altiris, Exodus Communications and the Canopy Group. In each of these organizations, he was instrumental in building process and infrastructure for the effective and efficient management of the company¹s finances, HR, and IT functions.

In addition, Gene effectively managed the process through two acquisitions of KeyLabs by Exodus Communications and AppLabs and subsequent management buyout of KeyLabs when Exodus filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in September 2001. He also managed the successful spin-out of KeyLabs¹ software division, which became Altiris who went public in 2002 and was acquired by Symantec in 2007.

Gene spent 4 years in public accounting with Ernst & Young and Price Waterhouse, prior to his experience with the before-mentioned companies. He has a Master of Accountancy and B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
